For the first three months of 2018, we will be spending time together as a church reading slowly through the Gospel of Matthew. This will also be the focus of the adult Sunday school class from January 7 through Easter Sunday. The reading plan will be posted under Bible Study Notes. And three or four times a week, I will post some very brief thoughts on the blog.
In 2018, we will start the year memorizing some verses from Matthew’s gospel. The goal for the 13 weeks between the start of the year and Easter will be to memorize at least 13 verses—just one per week. These can be a verse per week take from the reading for that week, or 13 (or more) verses from a particular passage. Regardless, we hope you will join us in memorizing more of God’s Word in 2018.
We are continuing our study of Exodus this Sunday (1/14) by looking at the first few plagues from Exodus 7–9.
We gather on Sundays around 9:30 for coffee and fellowship. We then have elementary, junior & senior high, and adult fellowship classes beginning around 9:45. In the summer months we also have a college age class. Our worship services begin around 11:00 with singing, prayer, and time spent looking at what the Bible says to us, followed most mornings by a time of corporate discussion based on the morning’s Scripture passage.
On Sunday evenings we have a time of prayer from 6:00–6:45.
