Throughout 2017, I will be spending time in the eleven books that make up the main narrative of the Old Testament: Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, Joshua, Judges, 1 & 2 Samuel, 1 & 2 Kings, Ezra, and Nehemiah. Over the course of the year, I will be reading, memorizing a chronological outline, and studying the theology and main ideas of each book. If you would like to join me in this endeavor, let me know, and I will forward you the material and plan. We start January 1.
In 2017, we will continue working on memorizing some key passages in the Bible (we are also studying these passages in the adult Sunday school class). We have worked through Psalm 1 and Ephesians 1:3–14, and Isaiah 52:13–53:12. On January 15 we will begin working through Hebrews 10:19–25. The notes from previous discussions are available under the “Bible Study Notes” tab at the top of the page. Whether or not you join us for class, we would love for you to join us in memorizing God’s word in 2017.
Over the next several weeks, we will be looking at 2 Corinthians 2:14–5:21.
We gather on Sundays around 9:30 for a light breakfast, coffee, and fellowship. We then have elementary, junior & senior high, and adult fellowship classes beginning around 9:45. Our worship services begin around 11:00 with singing, prayer, and time spent looking at what the Bible says to us, followed most mornings by a time of corporate discussion based on the morning’s Scripture passage.
